Dr Sergei Ikovenko​

Dr Sergei Ikovenko is one of leading consultants and project facilitators in innovation technology of design. He has conducted more than 1000 courses on innovation and TRIZ (Theory for Inventive Problem Solving) topics for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Dr Ikovenko was the primary instructor to deliver corporate TRIZ training programs at Procter & Gamble (about 1,500 engineers trained during 3 years), Mitsubishi Research Institute (300 engineers), Samsung (900 engineers), Intel (500 people) and other companies. He is a primary Innovation instructor of Siemens Innovation Academy, General Electric Global Research for 10 years (more than 1800 scientists trained) and TRIZ Innovation Initiative of Hyundai Motor Company for 11 years (more than 500 people) as well as for Chinese companies like Shenhua, Huawei, VIVO, etc.

Dr Ikovenko received special awards for development of innovation at Procter & Gamble and Unilever. He got an award from Samsung Electronics for integrating TRIZ indo Samsung Six Sigma Black Belt training. A special Award from Hyundai Motor of 2008 concluded a 7-month innovation program led by Dr Ikovenko that yielded 81 patents and ROI of more that 120 million dollars. The Program of 2009 yielded 245 mln dollars of ROI and 122 patents. The program continues every year from 2008 till now.

Dr Ikovenko holds two doctorate degrees – a Ph.D in Industrial Engineering and Dr -Eng. in Environmental Engineering and Sciences as well as Master degree in Patent Law. He is the author of more than 100 publications, and an active member of ASME, ACS, and ASEE. Dr Ikovenko has studied and taught TRIZ since 1986 and holds a certificate of TRIZ instructor from G. Altshuller, the founder of TRIZ. Dr Ikovenko is a TRIZ Master and has effectively utilized his TRIZ expertise to receive 114 patents in various engineering fields. He holds numerous silver and gold awards from international engineering shows and exhibitions for his inventions as well as Innovation Award from Oak Ridge National Lab of the Department of Energy, USA.

Dr Ikovenko is the Chairman of the Council the Expertise and Methodology (certification) of the International TRIZ Association. Dr Ikovenko is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, QFD Black Belt and Lean Master-Practitioner.

He is an adjunct professor of Tongji University in Shanghai (Intellectual Property College) and is teaching “Design for Patentability™” there as a part of Master Degree program in International Patent Law, funded by WIPO (an agency of the United Nation: World Intellectual Property Organization).

In addition, Dr Ikovenko has taught TRIZ seminars at MIT, Harvard University, Carnegie-Melon University, California Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, and other leading educational institutions worldwide as well as for experts of China Patent Office, Swiss Patent Office, Polish Patent Office, etc.

Dr Ikovenko holds a license of Professional Engineer from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and is a professor adjunct at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, USA), Tufts University (Boston, MA) as well as an Honorary Professor of the University of Edinburgh (UK).

Dr Sergey Yatsunenko​

Chief Technology Officer

Sergey takes the position of Chief Technology Officer in the Business and innovations team. He is a specialist in the identification, creation and implementation of innovative product and process solutions and is an expert, enthusiast and practitioner in the field of pragmatic innovations based on the modern Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). As the only one in Poland and one of 127 people in the world, Sergey has a level 4 certificate of the International TRIZ Association (MA TRIZ). He is a member of the board of the International TRIZ Association and a member of the MA TRIZ Council on Expertise and Methodology.

Sergey is also an expert in intellectual property issues and patent strategies. He deals with the development and propagation of the Design for Patentability (DFP) method in Poland. Sergey gained experience in innovation design working for many Polish and foreign companies. In his career, he has completed over a dozen consulting projects and conducted over 1,500 hours of workshops and training in contemporary TRIZ and innovation design. Sergey holds a PhD degree in physics from the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, which he was awarded in 2005. He also graduated from the National University of Dnepropetrovsk, where he studied as a radio-physicist. In his scientific career, he conducted research in the field of optical properties of nanoparticles and quantum dots as well as microwave and terahertz systems for applications in medicine, biology and measurement and research systems. In addition, he is an expert in the field of surface metrology with the use of confocal microscopy and in the field of testing metal-carbon composites obtained by electroplating.

Sergey is the author and co-author of 50 scientific publications (Hi-index – 13), co-author of 5 patents, creator and co-author of 2 textbooks on the methodology of modern TRIZ. In addition, Sergey is a certified Olympus specialist in topography and surface metrology.

Magdalena Krupińska

A certified TRIZ (Level 3) and DFP (Level 3) expert, who has gained and deepened her knowledge through training and close collaboration with Professor Sergey Ikovenko. Since 2016, she has been refining her practical skills in both methodologies by working on projects - initially as a team member, later as a project manager.

From the very beginning of her career, she has been connected to the apparel industry. Her first profession was designing clothing, and for over 16 years, she provided freelance services to numerous Polish companies. Her foundational education and extensive experience in commercial design contribute not only to her creativity but also to her deep understanding of production processes and the business needs of clients. She takes particular pleasure in educational activities. For more than seven years, she worked as a chief technologist and specialist in implementing CNC lines and CAD systems for automatic fabric cutting. She conducted training sessions in Polish, English, and Russian, delivering over 450 training days for companies of varying scales in Poland and abroad. On-site training was complemented by online sessions and e-learning techniques.

Between 2017 and 2019, she delivered lectures on fabric cutting technologies in the furniture industry for students at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology at the Poznań University of Life Sciences. Her knowledge and experience in adult education were further utilized in co-authoring four textbooks on TRIZ and DFP with Professor Ikovenko. These textbooks, written in English, have been translated into Chinese, Spanish, and German.

She holds a postgraduate degree in project management and draws much of her energy and motivation from teamwork, particularly in creative endeavors and in searching, collecting, and analyzing information. She eagerly takes on management and coordination roles within teams.
